How does a clinical consultation work?
You complete a private intake inside a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform. A licensed provider in your state reviews it, usually the same day and always within two business days. If they need anything else, they will reach out through your secure portal to finalize the clinical treatment plan.
Who are the providers?
Clinical care is provided by LocumTele, which provides compliant telehealth medical director and physician oversight services nationwide. The provider who reviews your intake is licensed in your state, and every clinical decision — including whether to prescribe — is theirs. locumtele.org
Will I receive a prescription after completing the consultation?
Not automatically. Every prescription is a clinical decision: the licensed provider reviewing your intake decides whether treatment is right for you, and may ask for more information, labs, a video visit or in-person care first. If treatment is not appropriate, you are not charged — the hold placed at checkout is simply released. Treatment is never guaranteed.
What is included in the $0 medication program?
The + Rx memberships include a prescription discount program: a wide range of eligible medications can be picked up at $0 at participating local pharmacies when a provider prescribes them. The exact list, the participating pharmacies and eligibility can vary, so check the program before relying on a specific medication.
What is your refund policy?
The medication prescribed is specific to a patient, so unfortunately we cannot issue refunds or accept returns of prescription products for reuse or resale, and all sales are final. However, if you feel we have made an error in the filling of your prescription, please contact us at support@risenmd.com. If a provider decides treatment is not right for you, nothing is charged in the first place — only a hold is placed at checkout, and it is released.
How long does shipping take?
Fast and discreet. Once your provider approves treatment, your medication ships from a licensed 503A compounding pharmacy in plain packaging and typically arrives within 1–3 business days of shipment. The delivery dates or times shown as part of the checkout process are estimates only and are not guaranteed.
Which pharmacy fills my prescription?
Prescriptions are filled by Rush Pharmacy, a licensed U.S. compounding pharmacy, and shipped directly to you. Your medication is prepared for you specifically, under your prescription. rushpharmacy.com
Which states do you serve?
Availability depends on the program. Care memberships are offered nationwide; our weight-loss programs aren't currently available in California. Each program page shows where it's offered.
Is Risen MD just for men?
No. Risen MD is for adults who want private, convenient telehealth — weight management, recovery, hormone support and everyday care. Each program has its own clinical requirements, and a licensed provider confirms it is right for you.
Whose name appears on my card statement?
Either Risen MD or leguprecovery.com, depending on which payment processor handles your program — care memberships are billed through our care network's own processor. Both are us. Either way, the price shown before you pay is the price you are charged.
Is Risen MD a health insurance plan?
No — Risen MD is cash-pay, which means no claims, networks, deductibles or surprise bills. You see the price of the plan you choose before you pay, and your card is only authorized at checkout: if your provider adjusts the treatment plan — for example a change to what is prescribed — you see the adjusted price before anything is charged, and any difference is credited back. Risen MD is not health insurance and does not replace emergency, hospital, specialist or major medical coverage.
Are compounded medications FDA-approved?
No. Compounded medications are prepared by a licensed U.S. compounding pharmacy for one specific patient, under that patient's prescription, and are not FDA-approved. Where a compounded medication is offered, it is prescribed only after a provider review and depends on pharmacy availability, state law and what is clinically appropriate for you.
What health information does this website collect, and how is it used?
None. This website collects no health information; the only form that sends information to us is an optional sign-up for marketing texts (the team-quote form on our For Teams page only opens an email in your own email app). Your intake and everything clinical happen inside the HIPAA-compliant platform, where the licensed providers who treat you are covered entities for the care they provide, and Risen Med LLC handles your information under HIPAA's rules for covered entities, as described in our Notice of Privacy Practices.
