What is in this program

One peptide therapy program with a single peptide.

Sermorelin is a synthetic fragment of growth-hormone-releasing hormone. Its regulatory history is unusual and worth stating plainly rather than glossing: a sermorelin product was FDA-approved in 1997 under the name GEREF, and the manufacturer voluntarily withdrew it from the U.S. market in 2008. FDA later determined that it was not withdrawn for reasons of safety or effectiveness.

That means two things at once. There is no FDA-approved sermorelin product marketed in the United States today, and the compounded preparation offered here is not an FDA-approved medicine. It is prescription-only and prepared for one named patient by a licensed U.S. compounding pharmacy. Saying sermorelin was "never approved" would be wrong; saying this program is approved would also be wrong.

Because there is no approved labeling in force for us to quote, this page does not state what sermorelin will do for you. That belongs to the licensed provider who has read your history.

FAQ

Questions

Is this FDA-approved?

The compounded preparation you would receive is not. A sermorelin product was approved in 1997 as GEREF and voluntarily withdrawn from the U.S. market in 2008 — FDA determined it was not withdrawn for safety or effectiveness reasons. No FDA-approved sermorelin product is marketed today.
